Surface Mount Technology Manufacturing

Simtec electronics have full in house manufacture capabilities which includes extensive surface mount capability. Our capability ranges from single prototypes to large volume production.

Prototype to medium volume

Our prototype to medium volume line is currently comprised of:

• SMTech Screen printer.
• Three Quad pick and place machines.
• Quad multi zone forced air convection reflow oven.

This line is configured to allow construction of any surface mount design up to a maximum board size of 400mm x 450mm. Volumes between one and several thousand units are achievable on this line with competitive tooling and setup charges.

Large volume

We can accommodate large volume production either by assisting with arrangement of off-shore production or a custom configuration of our own high volume production line.

Our in house large volume line capability is configured on a per customer basis and may comprise elements from our extensive array of available machines.

Available systems include:

• Inline screen printers with visioning systems.
• Numerous multi-head pick and place machines including gantry type systems and upward visioning capability.
• Quad forced air convection re-flow ovens up to sixteen zones.
• OI stations.
• Flexible board handling.
