ABLE Application README - romwrite

Summary

  The `romwrite' tool is used to write an ABLE image into NOR flash. It cannot
  be used to write ABLE into the NAND flash used on the IM2440D20 based boards.

Usage

 > romwrite <image-file>

Example

To write the able 2.30 release into an EB675001DIP module from a TFTP server
 > (tftpboot)romwrite (tftpboot)able-eb675001dip-230.bin

Notes

Sometimes `romwrite' comes with a payload built-in to ease the writing of a new
version of ABLE into NOR. Those programs are typically called
romwrite-<boardtype>-<version>.bin such as romwrite-eb675001dip-230.bin and are
the size of an ABLE image and the romwrite tool combined.
