Summary

The `fbset' tool is used to set a framebuffers video mode and
timings. The tool has an internal list of suitable default video modes
which can be selected by name.

Usage

 > fbset [-d | --dev <device>]

Example

To set an 800 x 600 mode at 60Hz refresh and 16 bits per pixel:

 > fbset --depth 16 800x600-60

Options

  -s  --show      Show current settings default if no other option set.
  -i  --info      Show frame buffer information.
  -d  --dev       The output device (defaults to '(fb0)')
  -x  --xres      Width of mode to set.
  -y  --yres      Height of mode to set.
      --depth     Display depth in BPP.
      --list      List all available builtin modes.
      --help      Display this help and exit.
      --version   Output version information and exit.
