ABLE Application README - brand ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Summary The `brand' tool is used to write board UIDs into EEPROMs and to prepare EEPROMs to be NVRAM or SBCD information stores. It is typically used during the manufacture of a board to prepare the primary EEPROM with the board's unique ID assigned by Simtec Electronics. Usage > brand (eeprom) [command] [command-specific-arguments] Example To display the contents of the primary EEPROM > brand (24cxx0) To set the primary EEPROM to be an NVRAM store and to carry the given UID > brand (24cxx0) set 44 33 22 11 To configure the secondary EEPROM to be an SBCD information source > brand (24cxx1) set-sbcd Commands set -- Sets the UID flag and the UID bytes should follow set-sbcd -- Enables SBCD information storage (disables NVRAM store) unset -- Removes UID marker. unset-sbcd -- Removes the SBCD information source tag.
