What is USB? - Vendor specific class
Vendor specific class – This is not really a class but for neatness it is thought of that way.
Represents every device that doesn't conform to one of the other class categories.
Every specific Vendor and Device needs its own driver.
Proprietary implementations – most vendors think they have some “magic” implementation which distinguishes them. This often means the vendor in question believes they have intellectual property to protect and won't divulge details, forcing the protocol to be reverse engineered. A time consuming and costly procedure.
